Jude is a seven-session study that walks through the book of Jude, helping believers understand its message in context, within the New Testament, and for today’s church. Each session highlights Jude’s call for healthy identity, sound doctrine, proper authority, love for others, courage against false teachers, perseverance in faith, and genuine worship. With reflection questions and practical insights, this series equips churches and leaders to remain faithful, discerning, and centered on God’s truth.

Session 1

Know Your Identity (Jude 1-2)

Session 1: Know Your Identity (Jude 1–2) Jude opens by reminding believers who they are—called, loved, and kept by God. He also models humility by introducing himself simply as a servant of Jesus, not leaning on his family ties. A healthy church is built on leaders and members who are secure in their God-given identity.

Session 02

Guard Sound Doctrine (Jude 3-7)

Though Jude wanted to write a letter of encouragement, he instead urges the church to contend for the faith against false teaching. He recalls examples from Israel’s history to warn of the dangers of unbelief and rebellion. Sound doctrine protects believers from both legalism and lawlessness.

Session 03

Submit to Proper Authority (Jude 8-11)

False teachers in Jude’s day rejected authority and followed their own impulses, much like Cain, Balaam, and Korah in the Old Testament. The church is called instead to respect God’s order and discernment in leadership and teaching. True authority flows from God and aligns with His Word.

Session 04

Seek the Good of Others (Jude 12-19)

Jude paints vivid pictures of corrupt leaders who serve only themselves, contrasting their selfishness with the calling to serve others. Believers are urged to evaluate teachers by their content, authority, and motives. A healthy church listens to trustworthy voices and practices selfless love.

Lesson 05

Rebuke False Teachers (Jude 3-23)

The church must take action against false teaching, ranging from correction to outright rebuke or removal when necessary. This requires wisdom, boldness, and mercy. Leaders and members alike are called to courageously guard the truth while showing grace.

Session 06

Stay the Course (Jude 17-23)

Jude closes with practical instructions for perseverance: remember the apostles’ teaching, keep building in faith, keep praying, and keep waiting on the Lord. Instead of isolating or giving in, believers are to care for one another and stay rooted in Scripture.

Session 07

Cultivate Articulate Praise (Jude 24-25)

Jude ends with a soaring doxology, praising God as the one who keeps His people from falling. Genuine worship grows from true thoughts about God and shapes the life of the church. Believers are called to make room in their minds and hearts for continual praise.
