Touring the Psalms

Touring the Psalms

Lessons

The book of Psalms is a favorite for many, and for good reason. Many of the Psalms were written by David, a master musician and writer. David shared his life throughout the Psalms – the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s easy for us to identify with David’s worship and praise to God during the good times, as well as his frustration or despair when times were tough. In the end, David is remembered as “a man after God’s own hear” (Acts 13:22).

For that to be said of us would be an incredible thing, and it can be. David wasn’t perfect (whew!), but His God was. When all was said and done, David’s life was directed towards God and his words proved it. So where are our words directed – towards our problems or towards the answer to our problems? Through this series, we want to encourage kids (and ourselves) to direct our attention and our words towards God. No matter what situations we find ourselves in, God is always there. So let’s look for Him, talk to Him, and talk about Him.
