  • Pilate’s Motives

    • John 18:28-19:16 “You are no friend of Caesar…”

    • Matthew 27:24-26 “[Pilate] washed his hands before the crowd…”

Note: Ironically, the soldiers who mock Jesus by bowing to him, unknowingly become a preview of what Paul says will result in Christ’s death on a cross (Philippians 2:10).
