There are many things in life that could be considered overrated... wealth, fame, power, titles and the list goes on. But there may be one thing that we might all agree is never overrated, maybe even priceless. Peace. Peace of mind. Peace with others. We all know what it’s like not to have peace, and kids are no exception. They, like us, desperately need to know that their heavenly Father is the Prince of Peace and that His peace is available every moment of every day in every situation and relationship. They need to know that His peace is not dependent on what’s happening around us, is more powerful than anything going on inside of us, and can free us from fear, worry, self-consciousness, and strife. This series is an opportunity to remind ourselves and teach kids that peace comes from God and flows from the inside out. We want to equip parents and encourage kids to choose peace and to make peace, because “God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9, NIRV).
