Section 01 Instructions
Do you notice what verse 5 says? Let’s read that verse again. Every thought was evil. That’s how bad the earth had gotten. Humans had pure evil in their hearts.
But Noah walked with God. He was righteous and blameless.
Who gets to go on the ark? Noah, his wife, his 3 sons and their wives plus 2 of every sort of living thing.
Noah did this and all God had commanded him. This is important to remember. Following God means not following the things of this world. Noah listened and obeyed and was rewarded.
The part we didn’t read shows how long they were in the Ark. Often we think they were only there for 40 days and nights but that isn’t the case. The water took a long time to recede. Here we read God’s promise to Noah and the generations to follow. What is it?
What is God’s sign of His covenant to us? We see the rainbow used for a lot of things in today’s world. But what does it really mean? As Christians, we have to separate the two meanings and help others understand the true meaning of the rainbow.
Feel free to go deeper with your students on this topic. They need to understand how God created them and why He created them. He created us to serve Him, worship Him and serve others. We are made to worship. We are created in His image. He makes no mistakes.
