  - Look up the following texts, all of which use the Hebrew word bara’, "to create": Exod 34:10; Num 16:30; Deut 4:32; Isa 4:5; 40:26, 28; 41:20; 43:1, 7, 15; 45:7-8; 48:7; 54:16; 57:19; 65:17-18; Ps 51:12; 102:19; 104:30; 148:5; Eccl 12:1. What types of things does God bara’ in the Old Testament?

  - Why is it significant for us to understand God as Creator?

  - What do you think about God creating in light of humanity's choice to sin? What do you think about God creating again out of man’s chaos?

  - Spend some time praying, thanking God for the various things he has created.
