Look up the following texts, all of which use the Hebrew word bara’, "to create": Exod 34:10; Num 16:30; Deut 4:32; Isa 4:5; 40:26, 28; 41:20; 43:1, 7, 15; 45:7-8; 48:7; 54:16; 57:19; 65:17-18; Ps 51:12; 102:19; 104:30; 148:5; Eccl 12:1. What types of things does God bara’ in the Old Testament?
Why is it significant for us to understand God as Creator?
What do you think about God creating in light of humanity's choice to sin? What do you think about God creating again out of man’s chaos?
