  2. What similarities do you see between God’s word in Jeremiah 44 and earlier sections of Jeremiah?

  3. Spend some time reading through Deuteronomy 28:15-68. How have the covenant curses come on the people because of their disobedience?

  4. If God sent a prophet to you this week, what problems or issues might he address in your life? Consider how you might respond to the word of the Lord in your current situation.

  5. Praise the Lord that the sacrifice of Jesus covers our sin and rebellion. What are some ways you can give thanks for the Lord’s forgiveness this week?

  • Additional Ideas for Practicing Faith: On a sheet of paper, make a list of all the ways you have turned away from the Lord in the last 3 months. Now, surrender that list to the Lord, and then destroy the paper as a sign of how Jesus has covered your sins.
