Hebrews

The first session is an introduction to the Book of Hebrew. In this session, we identify the benefit of the book of Hebrews for us today and know how to persevere according to Hebrews.

Session 2 helps us understand the Structure of Hebrews. Hebrews is a comparative study from beginning to end showing us over and over that Jesus is better. This session revolves around Hebrews 1 which emphasizes three things about Jesus.

Session 3 covers Hebrews 1 and 2 and presents a contrasting and complementary picture of Jesus.

Session 4 gives us some important notes about rest. We live very restless ways. We are almost chronically busy. True rest includes body and spirit.

Hebrews is a book full of warning signs. There are real dangers that we need to be aware of (Hebrews 2:1-4; 3:6; 3:12-14; 4:11; 10:26-27; 12:16). This session also shares a note on “falling away:”

One of the big ideas that runs throughout the entire book is that Jesus serves as our great high priest. This is not an image of Jesus that is common through the rest of the New Testament. What thoughts first come to mind when you think of Jesus as a high priest?

What does it mean to say, “Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship?” In this session , we discuss about the meaning of religion, relationship, and the biblical Theology of "blood".

In session 8, we define faith and enumerate some popular misconceptions of faith.

In this final session, we summarize thoughts about beliefs and habits on perseverance,
