Col 3:18-4:1 – On Slavery and (the Absence of) Abolition

  • Paul is not pro-slavery (1 Cor 7:21) but he does not call or work for outright abolition. Why?

  • Paul does not call for outright abolition. He even encourages acceptance and working with the system, but he always sows seeds of its demise.
