For Engage 1 you will need blown up balloons, preferably different shapes and sizes but with 2 of each color for a matching game. Use as few or as many pairs as you wish depending on your group and space size.

Host Welcome to the Train Station, Jr. Conductors! I’m so glad that you came to visit us. One of the reasons I love being at the Train Station is that I get to spend time with all of you.
Co-Host** The Train Station is a fun place to make new friends. I think we should start today by showing how friendly we can be to everyone. When I count to three, I want you to wave to as many kids as you can. Keep going until I say stop. 1…2…3!
(Allow the kids to wave.)
Host What else can you do to let someone know that you are friendly? (Allow for answers and have the kids do one of the suggestions) I am thankful to have so many friends visiting. Do you think we should only wave at some of the Jr. Conductors, or should we be friendly to everyone?
Co-Host** I agree. I think that God would want us to be friendly to everyone at the Train Station. That’s how God treats us. We’ll learn about that in our Big Point.
Host First, let’s get ready for a fun day by saying, “Choo-choo!”

Host Was Elmer nice to Engineer Kelly? No, he was not kind at all.
Co-Host** Why did Elmer say that he couldn’t be her friend? (Pause) He thought she wasn’t important. Is that true? Shake your head “no!”
Host I’m glad that our friend, Meagan, shared the Big Point with us. Let’s visit the Music Store again and practice today’s Big Point.
Host God Loves Us All The Same!
Co-Host** Let’s play a fun game of matching. I’m going to choose some friends to stand up here and hold a balloon. (Bring the kids up and hand each one a different colored balloon) When I pick a balloon out of this bag, point to the balloon that is the same color.
(Play the game, handing the matching balloon to each kid as the audience matches the colors. Use as many balloon colors as needed for your space and time.)
Host There are some balloons that look the same, but others are different colors or sizes. We are all different, but thankfully God loves us all the same. I sure hope Engineer Kelly learns that Big Point.

Host Did Engineer Kelly’s hair look silly when Professor Beaker used his machine? Did she sound different when she tried to talk like the mayor? She sure did.
Co-Host** Can you say, “Hello” in a deep voice, like Engineer Kelly did? (Pause) I’m glad that Conductor Carl taught her the Big Point. Let’s stand and say it together.
Co-Host** God Loves Us All The Same!
Host Engineer Kelly doesn’t have to dress like the mayor or sound like the mayor to be important to God. He loves us all. Let’s read today’s Big Verse.
Host It’s found in (VFX: Big Verse) Romans 2:11 (NIrV), “God treats everyone the same.”
Co-Host** How many of you like candy? I do, too. This candy (Show the candy) looks delicious. What color is my hair? (Pause) Raise your hand if you have the same color hair as I do. If I only give candy to Jr. Conductors with (color) hair would that make you disappointed? It might.
Host What color is my shirt? (Pause) Raise your hand if you have the same color shirt as I do. If I only give candy to kids with this color shirt, would that be make you sad? Probably. You might feel like I don’t like you or that I don’t want to give you good things. That’s not true at all!
Co-Host** Thankfully, God wants to give good things to all of us, too. It doesn’t matter what color our hair is, or what kind of shirt we wear, or anything else. He treats everyone the same because He loves all of us. Christmas reminds us that God wants everyone to be part of His big plan.
Host God chose a girl who was different than most of the leaders to have a huge part in His plan. Since God loves everyone the same, we’re going to share this candy with everyone when you leave the Train Station today. Everyone say, “Yay!” Let’s stand and thank Jesus with a song.
Let’s turn to someone nearby and say, “God loves you.” Now turn to another person and say, “God loves you.” Christmas is a great time to share God’s love with others. Let’s pray using our Big Verse. I’ll say a prayer, and you repeat what I say. God, thank you for treating us all the same. It’s a great choice to pray the words we read in the Bible. Always remember that God loves you.

Host Do you think that Engineer Kelly was excited to meet the mayor? I think so, and I love that the mayor was as kind to her as he was to anyone else. I think the mayor wants to follow God’s example from our Big Point,
Host God Loves Us All The Same!
Co-Host I want to show you some pictures of different people. I want to see if you can tell me who they are. Let’s practice with the first one.
Co-Host He has a uniform that is blue and a badge. That’s right; it’s a policeman.
Show the remaining slides. Give the kids clues if they do not immediately guess the person. After each one, ask if God loves that person more or less than them.
Host Just like God chose Mary to be His big helper, God wants you to be a helper. God loves you just as much as He loves anyone else. Don’t forget our Big Point. Let’s say it together,
Host God Loves Us All The Same!
