2. Read Psalm 23. What types of qualities would you associate with a good shepherd?

3. Read Ezekiel 34:1-17. What types of things will God do when he steps in to
shepherd his flock?

4. How is Zechariah utilizing Old Testament shepherding imagery in Zechariah 11?

5. Read Matthew 27:3-10. How does this word from Zechariah 11 seem to fit the
context of Judas betraying Jesus for thirty pieces of silver?

6. What significance is there to Jesus being the ideal shepherd who is “paid for” for thirty pieces of silver? What does this suggest about his leadership?

- Do you believe that Jesus is the good shepherd? If so, how does it change your life?
