3. Read Jeremiah 52. How does this text provide a fuller or different picture of
Jerusalem’s destruction?

4. Although this tragedy was predictable, God was still faithful. How have you seen
God faithful through the book of Jeremiah?

- Jeremiah’s ministry involved faithful service. What kind of faithful service is God
calling you into in your own life?

5. What would it look like for you to choose faithful service to the Lord instead of a
comfortable life? Spend some time this week thinking through some ideas.

- Additional Ideas for Practicing Faith: Spend some time this week reading about
Christian martyrs who gave their life for their faith. Check out recent books with
stories of martyrs, or find a copy of the classic Foxe’s Book of Martyrs online. How do these stories help you remain faithful to the Lord in the midst of your own trials and struggles?
