What kind of “shema” does Yahweh desire of his people?
Throughout its history, Israel violated the Ten Words on multiple occasions. Here are just a few of the examples:

The earliest tradition held 1-2 Samuel as one book and 1-2 Kings as one book. Therefore, every Bible book from Exodus through Kings details a way the people seem to have violated the Ten Words.
