Welcome to the Train Station, Jr. Conductors!  



**Co-Host**

We’ve learned a lot about what the Bible says about God and about us. Whenever I want to learn true things from God, I go to the Bible.



**Host**

I thought it might be fun to start today by seeing what things you can do. Some of these challenges might be difficult for some of you, and others might be easy.



**Co-Host**

The first challenge is to stand up without making any noise. Let’s try it. That was surprisingly quiet. The next challenge is to stand on one foot and stay there.



**Host**

That one is hard. The next challenge is count backwards from 10. (Help the kids count) That’s confusing. Here’s the next one: turn in a circle three times.



**Co-Host**

Now jump in place. (Jump) Make crazy arms with me. (Wiggle and flop your arms around) Finally, sit down as slowly as possible.



**Host**

You can do lots of things. Today we will hear what the Bible says about us. Let’s stand and give a big, “Choo-choo!”

Superhero Princess Mia wants to be a superhero. Do you like to watch superhero cartoons or movies?



**Host**

Let’s play pretend with Mia. I’m going to tell you the name of a superhero, and you tell me what that superhero can do. Then we’ll pretend to be that superhero.





Suggestions: Spiderman, Incredible Hulk, Superman, Wonder Woman, PJ Masks, Batman, Iron Man, etc.





**Co-Host**

That was so much fun! Superheroes are really good at helping people. It sounds like Mia wants to be a superhero so she will be able to help Conductor Carl and the other people around the Train Station.



**Host**

Then I have good news for Mia. We can all help people right now, even without superpowers. That’s because God helps us. Our Big Point reminds us where to look, so we can learn what to do. Let’s stand and practice the Big Point again,

The Bible (Show the Bible) says lots of things about us. It tells us what God 

thinks about us and some of the ways God wants to use us in His big plan.

Let’s see what Mia discovers at Professor Beaker’s lab.

**Host** and **Co-Host** enter. For this Engage, you can gather baking supplies and tools that you already have or purchase a toy baking set for kids.

I hope that Professor Beaker catches that robot before it runs away.



**Host**

I’m glad that Engineer Kelly was there to help Mia learn our Big Point. Let’s practice singing the Big Point again,

**The Bible Tells Me What I Can Do!**

I like the verse Professor Beaker shared with Mia. 





**Co-Host**

Ephesians 2:10 (NIrV) says, “Now we can do good works. Long ago God prepared these works for us to do.”



**Host**

God has a big plan for our world, and He has prepared us to do good things. Let’s think a little more about what that means.



**Co-Host**

Do any of you ever help bake cookies at home? What’s your favorite kind of cookie? We have a Jr. Conductor who will help us pretend to bake cookies.





**Host**

We need to prepare you for baking. What could he/she wear to keep his/her shirt and pants from getting messy? An apron. Let’s put the apron and chef hat on him/her.



**Co-Host**

Do you just throw all of the ingredients for cookies on the table or toss them all in the oven? Let’s open the oven and toss in the flour, an egg, … Oh! You’re right; we need something to mix them in. Do you see a tool he/she can use? (Pause) A bowl. Our friend needs a tool to mix them. Do you see one? (Show the whisk)



**Host**

Pretend to mix the cookie ingredients with our friend. (Pretend to whisk) Do you like cookies that are cut into shapes? Me, too. To do that, we have to roll the cookies flat. Do we have a tool for that? (Show the rolling pin) Pretend to roll the rolling pin.



**Co-Host**

How do we get the shapes? (Show the cookie cutters) Yes, we have a tool for them. Pretend to cut out a cookie.



**Host**

You did a good job. We had all of the tools you needed ready to go. You were well prepared to bake cookies. God has given us all that we need to do good things in God’s big plan. The Bible tells us that truth. Let’s stand and worship God.

Let’s pray and talk to God. Now is a great time to ask God to show us some of the good things that we can do in His big plan. Bow your heads and close your eyes. I’m going to pray for all of us and ask for God’s help. As I pray, place your hand on the shoulder of the Jr. Conductor next to you and pray for God to help them.

Nehemiah believed that he could do what God asked him to do. With God’s help, Nehemiah rebuilt the city’s walls.

You can tell your family about Nehemiah when you do the Big Do this week.

Have a talent show as a family. Show your talents, and then talk about how you can use them for God’s good works.



**Co-Host**

One talent that people use is dancing. Why don’t we play a fun game of freeze dance.





**Host**

Whenever you hear the music play, make sure you dance, but when it stops, 

freeze exactly as you are, even if your arms and legs look very silly.



Play dance music. Stop and start the music several times. Vary the length of the stop/start for fun.

That was fun. It’s fun to use the gifts God has given us to help others.

 - Let’s pretend that we need to cut some wood. What kind of tool would we use to cut a piece of wood? (Allow for answers) What if we need to drive a nail into wood to hold pieces together. What tool do we need? (Allow for answers) Ephesians 2:10 (NIrV), “Now we can do ______ works. Long ago God prepared these works for us to do.”

Begin by splitting the kids into the desired number of small groups. Small Group Leaders, take a few moments to welcome your group. Afterwards, go over the rules of the room and talk about the positive reinforcement tool.

Welcome to the Train Station, Jr. Conductors! We have had a great time finding out that the Bible tells us true things about God and ourselves. God wanted us to have help finding true answers to our questions. We are going to discover another true thing in the Bible today. Let’s go see our friends at the Train Station to find out what it is! Everyone, stand up to worship God and say, “Choo-choo!” 

We’ve learned that the Bible tells us who God is, who we are, and what God can do! God can do amazing things like create the world, heal sick people, and stop a storm. Now let’s talk about what you can do. 







Do a talent show with the kids by letting them act out different things they can do. If they need help thinking of things, here are some suggestions: sing a song, hop on one foot, do a cartwheel, etc. 





You guys can do some pretty cool things! The Bible tells us that God gave each of us special things we can do as a part of His big plan. Our friends at the Train Station are discovering that today, too. Let’s go see what they are up to!

Mia is having fun pretending to be a superhero. I wonder if she wants to be a superhero so she can help people. We don’t have to be superheroes in order to help others. That is what our Big Point is about! Let’s practice it together, 



**The Bible Tells Me What I Can Do!**



God wants us to be a part of His big plan, so He gave us the Bible. It tells us what God thinks about us and some of the ways God wants to use us. The Bible gives us all the tools we need in order to be a part of God’s big plan. In your small group, you will talk about the tools that different workers need to do their jobs. Turn around quietly and see what tools you can find! 







Use the Engage 1 Activity to talk about the different tools the workers in the picture use for their jobs and how those tools help each worker do their work. Then talk about how the Bible is our tool that helps us do our part in God’s big plan.

It was a good thing Engineer Kelly was there to help Mia learn our Big Point. Let’s sing our Big Point again, 



**The Bible Tells Me What I Can Do!**





Engineer Kelly helped Mia by sharing today’s Big Verse with her. Ephesians 2:10 (NIrV) says, “Now we can do good works. Long ago God prepared these works for us to do.” God has a big plan that He wants each of us to be part of. He has given us all we need to do the good things He wants us to do. In your small groups, you get to have fun doing a job together. 





Tell the kids that they will use the blocks to build a wall together. Give each child a few blocks, then let them build a wall. Help them work together to build it wide. If time allows, you could knock it over and do it again. At the end, have the kids help you pick the blocks up and put them away. 







Jr. Conductors, who built a tall tower? Good job! It’s fun to work on something together. We get to hear a true story from the Bible about a man who did His part in God’s big plan. Guess what his work was…he got to build a wall! Remember, during our Big Story, no one moves from their seat, so we don’t miss anything! Let’s turn on our listening ears.  

Let’s pray and talk to God. Now is a great time to ask God to show us some of the good things that we can do in His big plan. Bow your heads and close your eyes. I am glad that Mia learned she can do good things to help others. Nehemiah did a good thing with God’s help. He rebuilt the city’s walls, just like God asked him to do. You can tell your family about Nehemiah when you do this week’s Big Do.
