Host Welcome to the Train Station, Jr. Conductors! I hope that you are ready for a fun day at the Train Station.

Co-Host I know that I am ready. Look what I found when Conductor Carl and I were cleaning out a closet. It’s a sign that he used when he had to tell the cars when to go and when to stop.

Host I have a fun idea. Let’s stand up and when you see the green “GO” sign, hop up and down.

Co-Host But when I turn it to the red “STOP” sign, you must stop. Ready, go!

(Play the games a few times, changing up what the kids do when you hold up the “go” side.)

Host That was a lot of fun. It reminds me of something. Today we are going to learn about one of these two signs. Do you think it’s the red “STOP” sign or the green “GO” sign?

Co-Host I can’t wait to find out in our Big Point. If you’re ready for a great day at the Train Station, say “Choo-choo!”

Host Oh my, Engineer Kelly seems worried about her trip.

Co-Host She said that she wanted to hide instead of go. Do you think she should hide or go? Let’s play a game of hide and seek. I’m going to hide behind some of the different things here on stage.

Host Let’s close our eyes and count to five, and then see if you can find (Co-Host).

(Play the game several times. Each time the Co-Host moves behind a different object. Obstacles can be different items you might find around your church such as cardboard boxes, tables, chairs, inflatables, etc.)

Host You did a great job. Conductor Carl might need your help finding Engineer Kelly. I think that our Big Point could help us, too. Let practice it again,

Host I Can Go!

Co-Host I can go where? I can go to the candy store. Let’s stand up and pretend to walk to the candy store. (Walk in place) What kind of candy will you pick out? Let’s go to the park. (Walk in place) Look at that slide. Let’s slide back down onto our pockets.

Host We can go to those places, but this Big Point means something different. It means that we can go and help other people for Jesus.

Co-Host Wow! Can you the Jr. Conductors go and help other people, too?

Host We all can! I think we could help Engineer Kelly learn that she can go and help others, too.

Host It sounds like Engineer Kelly learned that she can follow the Big Point. Let’s say it again,

Host I Can Go!

Co-Host Conductor Carl shared a great verse from the Bible.

Co-Host Matthew 28:19 (NIrV) says, “So you must go and make disciples of all nations.” What are nations? Is that the neighborhood behind my house?

Host The nations mean people all over the world. Missionaries do just what this Big Verse says. They travel across the world to help people for Jesus. I have an idea! Let’s pretend to visit some different countries.

Put on pilot hats. Have the kids hold out their arms and make airplane sounds as you fly to the different countries. You can also have them stand and move.

Co-Host Where are we?

Host We are in China. More people live in China than in any other country in the world. Do you know what animal China has? Panda bears. Do you know why missionaries go to China? Many of the people there still don’t know that Jesus loves them.

Co-Host It sounds like going to China is important. Let’s travel to the next country.

Have the kids pretend to fly like an airplane.

Host Let’s land our planes.

Host We are in the country of Tanzania. It is a country in Africa, near the ocean. The largest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro, is there. Let’s look up high in the sky. Can you see the top of the mountain? Many of the people in Tanzania are Christians.

Co-Host Why do we need to go there?

Host We go because we want everyone to know that Jesus loves them. There are people there who are mean to the Christians, so we can go to help them. There are lots of places that need help. I’m glad that we can go.

Co-Host Me, too. Let’s stand and thank Jesus with a song.

Big Story

Paul and Barnabas said, “Yes,” to going on a big mission for God. Let’s bow our heads and close our eyes. Let’s take a moment to talk to God and ask Him to help us go and help people. (Pause) Now I’ll pray. Dear God, thank You for asking us to be Your big helpers. Help us all to go and help people know how much You love them. Thank You for always being with us. Amen.

Host I hope that Engineer Kelly has fun on her trip. You did a great job helping her learn the Big Point, I Can Go!

Co-Host Conductor Carl had a great idea for today’s Big Do, invite someone to church. Do you think that would be hard to do?

Host It’s not hard at all. The Train Station is a fun place to visit, and we get to learn about Jesus. All you need to do is say, “Would you like to come with me to my fun church?”

Co-Host That does sound easy. Do you think that we could go out and help others like Paul and Barnabas did?

Host Sure we can, because just like Jesus helped them, He can help us. Let’s think of some ways that we can help others. Can any of you think of a way you could help someone else?

(Have the kids stand and suggest ways to help others. You can begin with simple tasks like bringing food, giving a hug, praying for someone, etc.)

Co-Host I’m so glad that we can all help.

Host Let’s say our Big Point once more,

Host I Can Go!
